Aaron Pierre: The Perfect Fit

When it came to casting the role of John Stewart in the upcoming HBO Max series "Green Lantern," creator Chris Mundy knew he needed someone special. That someone turned out to be Aaron Pierre, a relatively unknown actor whose audition blew Mundy away.

"Aaron just had this presence about him," Mundy says, "He embodied everything we were looking for in John Stewart – strength, vulnerability, and a sense of duty."

For Mundy, Pierre was the hero he needed to bring the character to life on screen. "It's rare to find an actor who not only looks the part but also truly understands the emotional depth of the character," Mundy explains.
