Every Marvel Cinematic Universe Movie, Ranked

When it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), there are a lot of movies to choose from. With dozens of films featuring some of the most iconic superheroes in comic book history, it's no wonder that fans have strong opinions about which ones are the best. In this article, we'll rank every MCU movie from worst to best, giving you our take on where each film stands in the overall hierarchy of the franchise.

24. Thor: The Dark World

It should come as no surprise that Thor: The Dark World ranks last on our list. While Chris Hemsworth's portrayal of the God of Thunder is always entertaining, this film is widely regarded as one of the weakest entries in the MCU. The plot is convoluted, the villain is forgettable, and even the action sequences feel lackluster compared to other films in the franchise.

23. The Incredible Hulk

Next up is The Incredible Hulk, starring Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk. While Norton gives a solid performance, the film as a whole falls flat when compared to the rest of the MCU. The movie has its moments, but ultimately fails to leave a lasting impact on audiences.

22. Iron Man 2

Coming in at number 22 is Iron Man 2, the sequel to the film that kickstarted the entire MCU. While Robert Downey Jr. continues to shine as Tony Stark, the movie suffers from a messy plot and an underwhelming villain in the form of Whiplash. Despite its flaws, Iron Man 2 still has its fans, but it's definitely not one of the stronger entries in the franchise.

21. Thor: The Dark World

Just kidding! We couldn't resist poking fun at Thor: The Dark World one more time. Let's move on to the next film on our list.

21. Thor: Ragnarok

20. Captain Marvel

Coming in at number 20 is Captain Marvel, the first female-led solo film in the MCU. Brie Larson shines as Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, and the movie is a solid addition to the franchise. While some fans may have wanted more from the film, it's undeniable that Captain Marvel was a groundbreaking entry in the MCU.

19. Iron Man 3

Next up is Iron Man 3, the final installment in the Iron Man trilogy. While the film takes some risks with its story and characters, it ultimately falls short of the high bar set by the first two films. That being said, Iron Man 3 still has plenty of thrilling moments and Robert Downey Jr.'s performance is as solid as ever.

18. Ant-Man and the Wasp

Ant-Man and the Wasp comes in at number 18 on our list. The sequel to Ant-Man continues the story of Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne, aka Ant-Man and the Wasp. While the film is a fun, lighthearted romp with some inventive action sequences, it doesn't quite reach the heights of other MCU films. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly have great chemistry, but the movie lacks the depth and stakes of some of the franchise's best entries.
